HFC offers services that allow customers to check a current product's performance or to evaluate a new prototype design. Our testing facilities are equipped for a wide range of durability and compression testing of individual springs, spring assemblies, cushions, upholstered furniture and motion mechanisms. We can compare your standard construction to a proposed design, determine life cycle of a new or existing design, check foam density and IFD and measure frame stress.
Additional services include product installation, frame conversions and field service for seating, motion and sleeper designs. We can assist you in sales presentations as well as engineering and design support.
HFC's extensive research and development facilities that spur innovative new product design and engineering are located within each product group. Omega Motion and the Furniture Hardware Division have R&D groups at their respective headquarters in Tupelo, MS and Simpsonville, KY. The Seating Division's R&D group is headquartered in High Point, NC, and the Sleeper Division's development group is headquartered in Carthage, MO.
Graphic ILD (Indention Load Deflection) machine charts the firmness of spring systems or upholstered furniture, providing a basis of comparison between different seat types or from beginning to end of a durability test.
